HUMAN RIGHTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES IN EUROPE – NEW BOOK PREPARED IN COOPERATION BETWEEN THE INSTITUTE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF ZARAGOZA

The European institutions, and first and foremost the Council of Europe, are all striving to deepen and exploit the promising path opened in July 2022 by the UN General Assembly, when it proclaimed that the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment was a human right. This book reflects both what has already been achieved in Europe, in particular thanks to the European Court of Human Rights, the Council of Europe Social Committee, the Committee of Ministers and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the great potential offered by the European system for protection of Human Rights to help Europe meet the major challenges ahead.

The book can be purchased via the Institute (order to be sent to fredrik.ge.sundberg@gmail.com) or directly from  the University of Zaragoza www.unizar.puz.unizar.se. Price 25 euros.
